Advanced Placement (AP)

May 2022 Exams

  • Please log-in to your Total Registration account and click on the “Student Testing Schedule” link to view your exam schedule. If you do not remember your login information, please use the links provided on the login page to request this information.
    • If you had more than one exam at the same time, please pay close attention as your exam schedule has been revised to resolve exam conflicts. NOTE: if you have two exams on the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, this is not an exam conflict. You will be able to take both exams on the same day.
  • Exam start times are subject to small changes as needed to mitigate exam conflicts. Check your schedule 24 hours before your exam to verify your start time. Room assignments will be posted in the AP/IB Exam Information Google Folder at least 24 hours before the exam. IMPORTANT: ONLY MHS students will be able to access room assignments. A Minnetonka Google Login is required to use this link - ROOM ASSIGNMENTS
  • If you have been approved for AP and/or IB exam accommodations, you should have received an email at your student email account between April 1st and April 5th. Please contact tyler.barthelemy@minnetonkaschools.org if you did not receive an email and you believe you have been approved for exam accommodations.
  • If you have an exam on a Wednesday, the exam will begin promptly at the scheduled time.  MAST does NOT affect exam start times!
  • Many afternoon AP and IB exams will run later than the regular school day. It is not unusual for an exam to end between 3:00 - 4:00 PM (with exam accommodations, sometimes later). Be sure to make arrangements for a ride home if necessary.
  • Students are responsible for reading all of the important information in the AP/IB Exam Information Google Folder, including the AP & IB Policy which outlines what to bring and what not to bring for exams.
  • While tests typically start at 8am or 12pm, it is important to double-check your exam start times.
  • Get a good night of sleep and east a healthy breakfast!

About Advanced Placement (AP)

You're ready! Make the most of your high school experience and earn college credits with our Advanced Placement (AP) program at Minnetonka High School (MHS). Our AP teachers are passionate about their courses and eager to support students undertaking this college-level work. Their dedication benefits our students. In fact, 84 percent of our 2019 graduates took at least one AP or International Baccalaureate (IB) course during high school and 83 percent of AP students scored a 3 or higher on their AP exams (the minimum score needed for college credit consideration).

We offer 29 AP courses in English, world languages, social sciences, history, sciences, mathematics, computer science and the arts. MHS also offers a variety of AP courses through Tonka Online.

Depending on your AP exam scores and college credit policies, you may earn college credit or advanced standing at most of the nation's colleges and universities.

Research is clear: When you take college-level courses in high school, you are more likely to complete your college degree. Whether you are awarded credit or not, our graduates tell us the AP courses better prepared them for the rigor, writing and study skills needed for future success.
