Students pose in costume holding the letters CATS

Minnetonka Theatre is excited to present Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical CATS: Young Actors Edition, starring the talented fourth and fifth graders of Minnetonka schools, on the Main Stage in June. Director Lauren Bartelt said, “In this 14th year of our very popular elementary theatre program, our young actors are excited about rising to the challenge of bringing Lloyd Webber’s iconic cats to life. This 45-minute version is perfect for the whole family.”

About CATS: Young Actors Edition
CATS: Young Actors Edition is an adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit musical, specially tailored for young actors. Set amongst a larger-than-life junkyard playground and is alive with purr-fect felines, including Rum Tum Tugger, Mr. Mistoffelees, Macavity, Jennyanydots, Old Deuteronomy, Skimbleshanks and Grizabella. The Jellicle Cats come out to play on one special night of the year—the night of the Jellicle Ball. One by one, they tell their stories for the amusement of Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, who must choose one of the Cats to ascend to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.
